Transportation of oversized cargo:
5.4 m in width and super heavy weight

Cargo characteristics:
273.5 tons
70 tons
for 20 seats
Total weight of one unit
The body weight of one excavator
Each piece of equipment was dismantled
Our team organized the transportation of two Komatsu PC3000 bulldozers—super-heavy and extremely oversized loads, exceeding both width and weight limits. The primary objective was not simply to deliver the equipment, but to safely navigate it through the city and navigate tight sections of the route without any room for error.
What difficulties did you encounter
  • the cargo width was 5.4 m;
  • the clearance at the port checkpoint was only 5.5 m;
  • the shipment was carried out on an 8-axle low-deck trailer with a lifting capacity of 120 tons;
  • a crane with a lifting capacity of 200 tons was required to unload the equipment;
  • the work was carried out taking into account the city's current restrictions on the transportation of oversized cargo: their transportation is prohibited before 8:00 PM;
  • the transportation required mandatory escort along the route;
  • unloading had to be organized immediately upon the transport's arrival, without delays.
The project required precise coordination of all stages of transportation:
How was the transportation organized
Also, for unloading at the port, individual slinging schemes were developed for unloading from a ship and loading onto a vehicle.
Our team was tasked with transporting cargo through a very limited section of the route — the space between the vehicle’s dimensions and the pass-through frame was only 10 centimeters.
We planned the route in advance, taking into account all dimensional restrictions, coordinated the escort stages, and organized the overnight cargo pickup to ensure safe movement throughout the city from the port to the unloading area.
An 8-axle low-bed trailer with a 120-ton capacity was used for the transport, and a crane was prepared for unloading at the site in advance. The entire operation was structured so that the equipment was unloaded immediately upon the arrival of the transport with the cargo, without any waiting or delays.
We adapted our logistics plan to the city’s current restrictions: oversized items were transported only after 8:00 PM.
Throughout the entire shipment, our team monitored the process at every stage: from coordinating transport and support to the unloading area.
Result
The shipment was completed on time, without incident or delay. The cargo was successfully delivered and unloaded in compliance with all safety and logistics requirements.
