FAQ
What is the purpose of certification?
Certification is necessary to confirm the quality of goods and services in accordance with the requirements established by current regulations. It grants the right to import and legally sell goods within the Customs Union, which includes five countries: Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Armenia.
What is the difference between a Certificate and a Declaration?
The certificate of conformity is issued by an accredited body, which is responsible for its legitimacy. In contrast, the declaration of conformity is registered by the applicant independently, and all responsibility lies with the applicant.
Can a Declaration be used instead of a Certificate?
No, the legislation clearly establishes categories of goods that require a certificate and those for which only a declaration is needed. This distinction is strictly regulated.
Why do some documents take so long to process?
There are no delays in the issuance of documents by authorities or laboratories. All goods undergo testing according to the methods described in regulatory documents, and the laboratory cannot issue a test report faster than stipulated by the methodology, even if it takes 14 days.
What documents are required for certification?
To undergo the certification procedure, the following are required: a completed application, details for contract execution, founding documents of the applicant, technical descriptions of the product (such as specifications, GOST standards, passports, etc.), samples for testing, labels, customs declarations (for the transportation of samples), and other documents. Please note that the list may vary depending on the specific characteristics of the product.
